Benefiting the "Friends of American
Lake Veterans Golf Course"
Join us Friday night - raise money and have fun!
SEATTLE-The Seattle Golf Show will host its first annual "Friday Night Charity Gala" March 14 at 6 p.m. benefiting the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course. This "after-hours" event at Qwest Field Event Center has been created to raise money for the course used by wounded and disabled soldiers and veterans at the Madigan and VA Hospitals.
The evening's activities include enjoying the Seattle Golf Show in a private, intimate setting and then bidding on nearly 100 items available at the silent and live auctions - with 100% of the auction proceeds going to this worthy cause. Among the items are golf vacation packages & rounds of golf, golf clubs and merchandise, signed collectible items, art prints made specifically for the event and lots more. Cash donations also accepted. If you have an auction item you wish to contribute - contact the Seattle Golf Show (206) 285-2899.
Cost for this event is $110 per person. Those who attend the Gala will also receive a free round of golf. Guests also recieve a bonus offer, a one-year subscription to either Golf Digest or Golf For Women, plus food, drink and entertainment for the evening.
What the Friends and the golf course accomplish in providing a physical therapy outlet for our state's wounded veterans is inspiring. The video, photos and articles below capture the essence of this volunteer effort, its struggles and its successes.
