Below is a list of speakers appearing at the 2018 Seattle Golf Show, which will be updated as new speakers sign on. Check back frequently for an updated list of speakers and a full daily schedule on the stage!


Ryan Young

A native of Mill Creek, Ryan Young played college golf at Whitworth University, where he earned the 2010 conference championship, the title of NWC Player of the Year, and a berth to the NCAA National Championships. He turned pro in 2012 and is now one of the top players in the PNW PGA Section. Since turning professional, Ryan has been recognized by his peers as one of Golf Digest’s Best Teachers in Washington State in 2017-18. He also received the PNW PGA Section Player Development Award in 2016 and Western WA PGA Chapter Awards for Player Development (2014, 2016, 2017) and Assistant Golf Professional of the Year (2015). Ryan is also a PGA Certified Professional in Teaching & Coaching and a Level 2 Coach for The First Tee. While not playing or teaching golf, Ryan enjoys playing the guitar, snowboarding, wake surfing and spending time in Seattle with his friends. Cindy Miller

Cindy Miller is a graduate of the University of Miami, where she started as a walk-on and graduated an All-American. She competed on the LPGA Tour for three years, going from LPGA Tour player to PGA Tour wife when she married past champion/life member Allen Miller. The Millers are the only married couple in the world who have competed on all four major tours: the LPGA Tour, the PGA TOUR, the PGA TOUR Champions Tour, and the Legends Tour. Cindy is a Class A Member of the LPGA T&CP and was voted by her peers as the 2010 LPGA National Teacher of the Year. She is listed on Golf Digest’s Top-50 Women Teachers in America, while she and Allen are Golf Channel Academy Lead Instructors in Buffalo, New York. She is regularly seen giving tips on Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” program. She is the co-host of “The Women of Golf” radio show, which airs weekly on Blog Talk Radio. Miller is an active member and competitor on the Legends Tour, the official senior tour of the LPGA, and will appear in the 2018 Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup coming to White Horse Golf Club, June 6-10, 2018. Evan Johnsen

Evan Johnsen started volunteering with The First Tee of Greater Seattle in 2009, and has been the Program Director since 2012. Evan is a PGA Apprentice with the Pacific Northwest Section and a Recognized Coach with The First Tee nationally. He grew up in Sammamish and attended Skyline High School prior to enrolling at Claremont McKenna College, where he was an All-American Scholar and competed in the Division III National Championships. Evan loves hiking, paddling, and the outdoors, but his greatest passion is fulfilling The First Tee mission to positively impact the lives of youth through the great game of golf.

Erin Menath

Erin Menath is a certified LPGA professional currently teaching at GOLFTEC’s Bellevue location, where she also serves on GOLFTEC’s National Equipment Committee. A 14-year industry veteran, Erin was named one of the Top Teachers in the State of Washington by Golf Digest in 2017-18, and has also been recognized as a Golf Digest and Mizuno Top-100 Clubfitter. Prior to moving to Washington, Erin was named Northern Nevada’s Best Golf Pro for five-straight years. She is TPI and Biomechanics certified, and has taught over 15,000 lessons, including LPGA Tour professionals and Golf Channel Tour winners.

Brett Wilkinson

The 2013 GOLFTEC Coach of the Year, Brett Wilkinson oversees the four Seattle GOLFTEC locations. He is the Director of Instruction and a certified clubfitter at the Bellevue location, named one of America’s Top-100 Clubfitting Centers by Golf Digest in 2017. Brett has given more than 30,000 swing/short game lessons and conducted thousands of club fitting in a career spanning more than 25 years, and has won multiple PGA Player Development and Junior Golf Leader awards.

John Saegner, Jr.

The WSGA Senior Director of Handicapping & Course Rating, John has been on staff at the Washington State Golf Association since 1990. Initially hired as the Director of Rules & Competition & Course Rating, by the late 1990s he began specializing solely in course rating and handicapping. He has rated over 1,000 golf courses throughout the region, and over 2,000 sets of tees. He was a member of the United States Golf Association Course Rating Committee from 1998-2011. An avid fan of Washington State University and University of Oklahoma football, and of Mariners and Yankees baseball, John has been playing golf since the age of 14, and currently plays to a 7.3 Handicap Index.

Kevin Jones

The WSGA Director of Handicapping and Course Rating, Kevin joined the staff of the Washington State Golf Association in 2014. Prior to that, he was the Director of Handicapping & Course Rating for the Louisiana Golf Association. He served as a USGA P.J. Boatwright Jr. Intern at the Oregon Golf Association. He graduated from Oregon State University and earned his MBA from Gonzaga University. Kevin has rated over 100 courses during the past six years, and currently is the chairman of the Tech Committee of the International Association of Golf Administrators. Kevin has been playing golf since the age of 10, and plays to a 3.0 Handicap Index.

Tyler McDougall

Having analyzed golf swings of professionals, and his own golf swing, Tyler McDougall is experienced and knowledgable regarding proper technique. He has played competitively at the highest level in both amateur and professional settings. He twice finished in the top-10 of the high school state championships, and played Division-I collegiate golf at Boise State University. Tyler can be found teaching at Puetz Golf’s Bellevue location.

Casey McMullin

Casey McMullin has been teaching golf since 2005. His philosophy on the golf swing is to work within the framework of your swing and to keep it simple. In addition to his work with golfers at Puetz Golf’s Seattle Range, Casey is also the head coach of Ballard High School and a tournament director for the Washington Junior Golf Association. Casey is truly passionate about helping golfers of all skill levels.

Patrick Ackerman

A PGA Professional and Director of Instruction at Puetz Golf, Patrick Ackerman brings experience and knowledge, previously coming from Glendale Country Club in Bellevue. Patrick welcomes all level of players and provides a relaxing lesson environment. He also has a special passion for kids, having worked as a coach/mentor for The First Tee of Greater Seattle. Patrick is an expert in the short game as well.
